Aegis means “protection by a strong force,” and our innovative coastal/offshore jacket more than lives up to its name. Whether you’re doing Marblehead-Halifax or just banging around in the center-console, the Aegis jacket has you covered with a world-class waterproof/breathable laminate and a long list of features that will keep you dry, comfortable and looking terrific every step of the way.

AWG Typhoon 3-Layer: Fully waterproof, fully breathable and fully windproof 3-layer laminate with a 7 oz. nylon face and taped seams. Tricot inner layer protects the waterproof membrane from the inside while delivering a dry next-to-skin feel. 80/20 DWR coating keeps moisture from permeating the outer shell.
• Waterproof Rating: 20,000 MM
• Breathability Rating: 10,000 g/sq. m/24 hours
Designed for versatility to cover a broad range of applications and conditions from inshore dinghy racing to offshore big boat sailing, the Aegis range includes every innovative bell and whistle we could think of (except for actual bells and whistles). Best in cooler conditions because, while there is no insulation and the fabric is highly breathable, it is designed with protection in mind. For cold weather sailing, add mid-layers (Zephyr, Flying Point Fleece) to achieve warmth without weight.
Examples
• Spray Top: Laser sailing to inshore big boat sailing
• Jacket: Inshore one-design keelboats to offshore distance sailing
• Ocean Smock: Inshore one-design keelboats to offshore distance sailing (front end of the rail)

Had an older one that was not holding up. Atlantis replaced it with this new womens version. Stayed dry from waves and rain during this years bermuda race. Added a sou'wester and all was good. Lots of pockets, good fit, great sealed cuffs, nice light color that washed well. Being dry was key and this jacket was the answer this time round. Would recommend it over all the other brands... have tried them all....

Dry, durable, stylish, comfortable, and easy to clean. The designers did a great job with the readily accessible pockets and the transparent window on the sleeve which allows the wearer to see her watch. Well worth the investment for any serious sailing diva.
