This is the jacket that’s taking the sailing world by storm. And when we say the sailing world, we mean all of it – everything from high school teams to superyacht crews. This jacket’s designed with some really slick features like the core-vent pockets with the draw cord adjustment inside – things that could only come from a sailor-driven R&D process. Means we have to go sailing a lot, but it’s a cross we’re willing to bear.

• Microfleece-lined mid-height collar (rear), tapered to standard height collar (front)
• Adjustable covered collar drawcord at neck back for fine-tune collar adjustment
• Articulated athletic fit for active comfort
• Low-sweeping back for dry protection behind
• Double cuff system w/inner storm cuff
• Waterproof zippers w/pulls, pull garages
• Large, high capacity pockets, integrated waist drawcords provide cinch & slack stowage
• Chin & neck chafe guard
• Welded seam PDA chest pocket
• Reflective logo (front) & logomark (back)
• 10,000mm, MVP: 5,000g/m2/24hrs

GRAND PRIX: Atlantis introduced the soft shell to the world of sailing.  The Grand Prix is designed for inshore and offshore keelboat and big boat sailing in cooler to cold weather conditions.  It’s often worn as an outer layer, though a fully waterproof shell (Aegis or Resolute) should be added when conditions are truly snotty.

Examples

• Jacket: One-design keelboat sailing & inshore big boat sailing in cooler conditions. High school & college sailing team gear.

• Pant: Inshore & offshore big boat sailing in cooler conditions

  1. Fantastic all around jacket

    Posted by Rick Cuzner

I bought my first Grand Prix jacket a couple of years ago to wear on the boat in the fall. I found myself wearing all season long. Light weight, comfortable, and wears like iron. Can't say enough about it.

  2. Warm and Versatile

We bought the GP jacket for our entire crew. Great on and off the race course. Very durable, deep pockets and warm collar. Gators on sleeves are a smart design. Nice stretch.

  3. Grand Prix Winner

Simply the single best piece of outdoor gear I've ever owned and that includes my snowsuit in the 1940's.
I've got the vest, I've got the jacket and sometimes wear them both together. Love the see-into interior pockets, the fit, the fabric, all of it.
I wear it in the winter, wear it sailing, wear it kayaking, wear it everywhere.
And after I've worn it out -- if that happens -- I'll get another one.
    This is a perfect item.

  4. First pick

Unless it's pouring rain, this is the jacket I reach for when I look in the closet. Simple, comfortable, functional. Holds up to a light rain just fine. Surprisingly warm, especially with a long sleeve shirt underneath. Good wind blocking ability when out on the boats.

  5. Awesome jacket

Well I own a Henry Lloyd ocean racing smock and really needed an every day moderate weather jacket....and man I couldn't be more impressed with the quality and durability of my grand prix jacket... Not to heavy but definitely has everything I need or want in a moderate weather jacket.
